MY LAVA LAMP PAGE - COLORMAX AND CLEARVIEW
Here are my colormax lava lamps. Colormax lamps have a globe with changing color glass at certain levels for a different visual effect. The ones I have are all 32 oz.
I correct myself. I just found a big white one with a colormax globe which had never been used. I didn't know I had it. Probably got it at Spencers.
At this point, the lava was moving very sluggishly in the second lamp; so I temporarily switched the globe with the globe from the third lamp and the lava performed better, but the other globe slowed down on the second base. It wasn't as hot as the other base. The bulb may not have been as good.
And the rediscovery goes further. When I went through my storage unit, I found a type of lava lamp that I completely forgot about. It's not at all obscure or even vintage. It is from this century and was made by Lava World. It is called clearview. It is seventeenn inches, red, and uses a 25 watt reflector bulb. I'm putting it in this section with the colormax.
Clearview has a clear part of the base down to where the globe bottom is. This way you can see more of the lava instead of it being blocked by an opaque part of the base. I am not sure how many I have. I might just have the one. I have a lot of boxes in storage. If I find more clearviews, I will add them to the page.
Do you like how I ran it with the sticker still on the globe? I don't either. I'll try to do better next time.
I just noticed that another one of my lamps is a colormax. I have it here. It has a fireworks theme.
There's SONNY the Brontosaurus looking at the lava lamp. He is trying to figure out what is going on. The lava aint moving like it did the other times he saw lava lamps. Right now the lamp is spiking because it isn't fully armed up yet. SONNY is always interested in learning about new things.
