MY GATOR PAGE
![]()
This is my Gator page. I only collect certain ones - mainly the vintage MPC brand of small plastic alligators. Those are colorful plastic ones about two inches long. I picked up a few others along the way. I also made room for a toy alligator that I had as a child, if I could ever find it again. Fortunately, I found it right before I started this website. It is called a Britain. I guess that is the brand. It was a museum sale item from the early 1970's.
Here is the group of gators that is the focus of my gator collection. They were made by a company called MPC or Multiple Plastic back about five decades ago. I started adding other gators and crocs later.

This big gator is by Britains. I had one of these when I was little and it disappeared. I always wanted another one. I found one right before I set up this site. The jaw opens with a switch. Neat!
This big rubber dude has a squeaker in it. You would expect it to be a big masculine sound. But it is a diminutive squeaky high pitched sound. It is like see huge tough boxer, Mike Tyson, and expecting him to talk real boldy and he startes talking and he sound like a whiney little kid. That is the type of disbelief that I am talking about here. Of course you don't say anything bad to his face because he'll pulverize you. Same with this squeaky alligator. His vocal uttering may be funny, but give him some respect and some distance.
I got a few smaller gators and crocs from online auctions where they weremixed in with other items. Look at this caimen. Aint he mean looking? I always thought of caimen as crocodile wanna bees, but this guy looks tough. His eyes are scary.
Here are some baby gators or crocodiles from some party set. I like the colors.
Here are some more figures that I picked up from online auctions and decided later to keep.
With the new additions to the group, the alligators felt like the crocodiles didn't belong and they waged physical and mental battles with each other. Later on they settled down and realized that they were more similar than different and they shouldn't be fighting. They were like gang members who hate each others guts even though they are more similar to each other than the rest of the population. They were dumb violent beasts just like their enemy. I'm talking about the gators and crocs - not the gang members.
Eventually they started getting along. After a few months they were cross breeding.
